How to Prepare Before Selling Your Jewelry
A few simple things can make your visit easier.
Bring Any Documentation
If you have diamond certificates, appraisals, receipts, original paperwork or other documentation, bring it with you.
Documentation can help us understand the history and characteristics of your piece.
Keep in mind that an insurance appraisal reflects a retail replacement value, which is different from what a buyer may offer on the secondary market. The two numbers are not necessarily expected to be the same.
Bring Original Boxes & Papers
If you're selling designer jewelry or a luxury watch, bring the original box, papers, certificates and other accessories if you have them.
These items can be useful when evaluating the piece.
Don't Worry About Perfect Condition
You don't need to have your jewelry professionally cleaned or repaired before bringing it in.
